UMNU Kebumen and Muslimat Special Branch Leader Malaysia Collaborate on Tridharma Program Implementation

Kebumen, August 1, 2023 – A strategic discussion between Universitas Muhammadiyah Nahdlatul Ulama (UMNU) Kebumen and the Muslimat Special Branch Leader Malaysia has paved the way for a robust collaboration in implementing the tridharma program of higher education. The meeting, held with great enthusiasm, brought together key representatives to explore avenues for joint initiatives. The event was graced by the presence of Hastri Firharmawan, a prominent faculty member of the English Language Study Program, and Rennanti Lunnadiyah Aprilia, M.T., Vice Rector II of UMNU Kebumen. Representing the Muslimat Special Branch Leader Malaysia was Dra. Mimin Mintarsih.
The heart of the discussion revolved around aligning their efforts in executing various programs encompassed within the tridharma principles of education institutions, namely education, research, and community service. After thorough deliberation, the participating parties reached a unanimous consensus to ensure the seamless execution of diverse initiatives such as the community service program (KKN), collaborative research endeavors, sponsored seminars, and other similar activities. This agreement signifies the commitment of both UMNU Kebumen and Muslimat Special Branch Leader Malaysia to foster meaningful collaborations that will benefit all stakeholders involved.
In her remarks, Dra. Mimin Mintarsih expressed her appreciation for UMNU Kebumen’s proactive approach and shared her optimism about the collective impact of their collaboration. Vice Rector Rennanti Lunnadiyah Aprilia emphasized the institution’s dedication to academic excellence and community engagement, stating, “This partnership is a testament to UMNU Kebumen’s ongoing commitment to create positive societal changes through education and research.”
The discussion also shed light on UMNU Kebumen’s previous community engagement initiatives. Faculty member Hastri Firharmawan highlighted the university’s involvement in educational support for the children of Indonesian migrant workers. This initiative, carried out from August 2 to 23, 2022, reflects UMNU Kebumen’s dedication to extending its educational influence beyond traditional boundaries.
The successful two-day discussion not only solidified the partnership’s foundation but also emphasized the potential of international collaborations to drive meaningful change.
